Riyadh, early morning. You swing a leg over the BMW R 1300 GS and ahead of you lie 12 days of pure adventure across Saudi Arabia.
Endless deserts. Rugged mountain passes at 2,400 metres. Red Sea coastal roads. Off-road sections that will test both rider and machine.
Your expedition also takes you directly to the route of the world’s most famous desert rally, which takes place in Saudi Arabia during your trip. For three days, we ride sections the race passes through that day, and you’ll see it with your own eyes from publicly accessible spectator areas. Technical scrutineering and the Prologue are also open to the public.
This is not an official hospitality package. It’s an expedition of motorcyclists who want to experience the famous race from inside the country, not from inside the bivouac. We ride the same land, the same roads, in the same week. If you love desert rally raids, you know exactly what we’re talking about.

What you’ll see at the race
Technical scrutineering (31 Dec)
Bivouac open to the public, bikes and cars up close, the atmosphere of the start.
Prologue (1 Jan)
First competitive run by the racers, announcement of starting positions.
Race days 1, 2, 3 (2–4 Jan)
Watching from spectator zones on sections the desert rally passes through.
Viewing takes place from publicly accessible locations. Bivouac and VIP access are not included.

Desert rally live
Watch the legendary desert race that takes place in Saudi Arabia during the expedition (31 Dec – 4 Jan) from publicly accessible sections. Technical scrutineering and Prologue are open to the public. Bivouac, park and VIP access are not included.
